Good Day Families of Lincoln Soccer Travel Program.
Ontario Soccer in consultation with its sports partners Canada Soccer, Ministry of Heritage Sport has developed a Return to play Plan and Guide for Ontario. This document has been approved by Canadian Soccer Association and is aligned with the province of Ontario Amateur guidelines and protocols.
This guideline has three independent phases which is not inline with the opening up the Province of Ontario. They consist of the following Phases. Phase 1: Return to Train, Phase 2: Return to Training & Modified Games, Phase 3: Return to Soccer.Currently, the Niagara Soccer Association is in the Phase 1 Guideline
The Lincoln Soccer Club (LSC) has decided that all soccer activities, training will continue to remain in a paused state. LSC intends to return to training once our region hits ‘Phase 2’ of the RTP and we get more details from the Ontario Soccer and the Niagara Soccer Association.
Unfortunately, The Niagara Soccer League has announced that the 2020 NSL season cannot be played in its normal format and time frame and therefore will be cancelled. The NSL will continue to monitor the situation and in consultation with the clubs will continue to see if a modified competition could take place later in the year.
The LSC is suggesting leaving the 2020 competitive teams intact and carry them forward to the appropriate age divisions for the 2021 season. This will allow our current registered players in good standing to bypass the tryout process for next year’s season. Any vacant spots will be filled by doing individual team tryouts as needed.
All Coaches will be reaching out to you for your interest in participating in the summer/fall training sessions. All players will be charged $60 to participate to cover costs already incurred. If you have paid the full amount for the 2020 registration, you will be refunded to this amount (regardless if you are LTPD or youth soccer). If you have not paid you will be asked to pay the $60 before you are able to participate with the team.
Should you wish to forfeit your spot, or do not feel comfortable in training in the 2020 season. Or your current travel team has decided not to train in the summer& fall. You will receive a full refund for the 2020 season. Please note the LSC is keeping the 2020 travel shirts, if your team would like to purchase them (full team order) the cost is $50/player for home & away jerseys)
At this time, we are processing house league and ask for your patience in the refunds. You will also be required to complete a refund form located on the club website under registration.
